Well another Telus Skins Game has wrapped up and full marks to Predator Ridge for doing a great job putting on the tourney. The closest I was able to get to the players while on the course was a quick exchange with Fred Couples. I will post the pic later this week. Also I have a few good shots of the often spoke of Media Tent....I'll post some of those pictures as well so you can see behind the scenes. Speaking of golf... the big news is Tiger Woods is gone for the rest of the season...apparently he had a stress fracture prior to the U.S. open! The guy comes off knee surgery and a fracture and still wins?!! WOW! Reports say he is undergoing reconstructive knee surgery and will be out the year, Yikes. Well tonight I turn my attention to Jr. Lacrosse. The Vernon Tigers and Kamloops Rattlers tangle at the Wesbild Centre and it should be a great tilt. Tune in tomorrow, Kevin Rothwell is back after a day of rest and the Breakfast Bunch should have a few more surprises.
Howdy from the 2008 Telus World Skins Game!!! Spending today and tomorrow up at Predator Ridge with the boys...Greg, Monty, Mike, Cam (his friends get to call him that) and Freddy. What a kick-off to the two day event...beautiful weather making it possible for TSN to show of Vernon's world class golf course and fantastic Okanagan Valley. Best part for me yesterday was Colin Montgomerie who joked it up with the crowds. Also enjoyed Mike Weir trying to describe to the rest of the group what the Ogopogo is! The 'Shark' Greg Norman had the big pay day bagging $100,000.00 dollars while Mr Skins Fred Couples pocketed 40 g's. Happy Friday the 13th everyone!!! Hope you don't suffer from Triskaidekaphobia because if you do...you might just want to stay indoors today. We were out to Lumby to kick-off Lumby Days at Alices Restaurant. A big thank you to Alice and Arlene who made our stay out there a fantastic one. I am known for my love of food and I have to tell you if you get the chance to enjoy their breakfast burrito do so!! It was awesome and the cinnamon bun was also incredible. So if you are cruising out on your motorcycle....stop by and say hi!
