Jodi Pederson
Jodi Pederson is a PROUD CANADIAN singer/songwriter. At the age of seventeen she was recognized by music producer Jack Lenz, of Lenz Entertainment (music for Passion of the Christ, childrens television series Nanalan, etc.) and later, Mike Roth of Sony Records. Jodi's first big city experience began in Toronto, where she began her studio recording with recording engineer Michael Jack, (Nelly Furtado, Bono, Hilary Duff, etc.)
Her life's experiences and influences filter the emotion and heartfelt lyrics in her songs. Jodi's music is inspired by artists such as Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crow, The Beatles, Sara McLachlan, Blue Rodeo, Queen and many more great musicians. These musicians are the roots of Jodi's musicianship that opened doors for Jodi to craft her own unique sound and style. Jodi Pederson was born into a family with a deep appreciation of music. It wasn't unusual to hear the tunes being blasted from the old record player, with her family singing along. Jodi and her two sisters, Brandi (the eldest) and Hannah, (the youngest) often sang together at family gatherings. It was this experience that developed Jodi's ear for harmonizing. She learnt her first scales on the guitar from her uncle Wes Pederson, and had her first attempt at recording later on with musician, Chris Madsen. It is with thanks to her parent's love and persistency that she has gotten to where she is today.
