Ryan Donn

Having been a performer since he was a child, Ryan Donn, has honed his style and his sound on the stages of his hometown in Scotland as well as in the Okanagan Valley. His beginnings as one of the few boys in the choir, taught him early about the power of song. In each of Ryan's songs, there is a story. These stories are from the life he experiences and in these words he captures the stories of many people's lives. Fueled by performances all over, Ryan has an onstage persona that simply shines and he is a delightful, captivating entertainer who instantly wins over crowds with his pleasing demeanor, impressive onstage aura, and masterful musicianship.

 Following on the heals of his critically acclaimed album Causewayend, This life was written over the past three years. This new material blends the pride in his Scottish heritage and his infectious passion for life. This combination has led to a wonderfully inspired CD that brilliantly reflects his heritage and roots, utilizing smatterings of his native tongue, Doric - a unique dialect spoken in North East Scotland - as well as two fabulously crafted love songs and several social commentary songs built around his strong rhythmic acoustic guitar playing, melodic vocals, and pop/folk inclinations.
