My Best Burger Hunt

Unfortunately, I don't have fighting so I have succumbed to the idea that travelling around the world to find the best burgers is actually a worthwhile life goal. And boy have I found some good ones. In the blog, three more places get added to my list...and a surprising one is in our own back yard which has been a complaint of mine for several years. And keeping with the food theme, I'll tell you what your favourite ice cream flavour says about you! 

MY BEST BURGER HUNT - Jughead and Wimpy have nothing on me!

 BURGER 55 - One of my complaints over the years is that the Okanagan hasn't had an original burger joint in the area for years. Now let me preface this by saying, there are some great burgers at local restaurants...but I look for those quirky joints that specialize in hamburgers. And the other day I found Burger 55 in Penticton. I've known for the place for awhile, but only recently  had the chance to stop by and LOVED it. This little place near the head of the lake, is a build your own burger joint. Go in, fill out the sheet, and build your own custom burger. Countless toppings, huge patties, great buns and homemade fries...just delicious. This place is usually hopping and the seating is tough to come by....but its worth the stop!  KILLER BURGER - Portland, Oregon. Came across Killer Burger while hanging out in Portland a few months back. Located in the Grant Park/Hollywood section of the city. Another bustling joint with limited seating. Known for its peanut butter burger, Killer Burger will live up to its name and nearly kills you. Huge burgers, again fantastic fries and just a cool atmosphere to hang out in. A new fave for sure! I recommend the Barnyard Burger (click on pic). It has egg, bacon and hamburger. IT'S HUGE!

 RED MILL BURGERS - Seattle, Washington. This is the second time in my blog I have talked about the best little burger place in the Pacific Northwest. Named Seattle's favourite burger joint for the past 10 years, there is nothing fancy about this greasy little spoon. One of the busiest burger places I have ever been to, Its worth the wait. Maybe the best Bacon & Blue Cheese burger I have ever tasted. One of the coolest things about this place is just the mound of bacon they cook up. To give you an idea of how many burgers these guys cook up...check out the photo of their 'bacon pile'.
