Paint The Town Greene - Cleans Up

Well he's no Matthew M, but our very own David Greene joined Lori & Rob as well as the KISS FM Events Crew powered by Capri Insurance to do a little cleaning in our beautiful city. CLEAN UP YOUR ACT - giving back to the community at 7:45am
A couple of weeks ago I decided to do something special for National Cleaning Week and that was to give back to the community and do a little tidy up. I enlisted the help of my morning show partner Lori and her son along with my own family and the KISS FM Events Crew. We decided to ask listeners what areas they thought needed to be cleaned and Christine Fedick suggested 20th street behind Rona and we also had a couple of suggestions to tidy up the former tourism booth north of the city. Well have to tell you...both areas needed a good clean. We probably took about a dozen garbage bags worth of junk out as well as tires, clothing, needles and a tons of other stuff. A big thank you to Lori and her son who brought over a utility trailer as well as a job well done to the KISS FM Events crew who worked very hard for about three hours digging up trash. Not only did they get up early...but it was on a holiday no less! But after it was all said and done...it felt good to get out there and work as a team to get something worthwhile accomplished. I am going to talk more about this later in the week, but if you noticed the front of our website, KISS FM has a brand new iPod/iPhone application that will allow you to listen to our station anywhere in the world as well as call our contest line, visit our youtube page and also visit our website. ODDS & ENDS - people have to get some things off their chest
It seems people around Vernon have been getting ticked off lately. I have had a couple of emails sent to me about things that are bothering some residents. On Wednesday, I will touch on some of those touchy subjects and post some of their emails.
