We'd like to recognize Jenny Diller and Gale Woodhouse, potters extraordinaire who volunteered to teach people how to 'throw a bowl' (make a bowl) and helped organize the 1st Annual Empty Bowl Fundraiser at the Vernon Community Arts Centrein Polson Park. The event took place on March 17 and in keeping with the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, people could purchase a bowl made by local celebrities, which included some Irish Stew, for $20.00 with the money raised going towards supporting 'arts' in our community.
Thanks Jenny and Gale and congratulations!
Thanks as well to everyone who supported the Empty Bowl Fundraiser.

Television is an invention that permits you to be entertained in your living room by people you wouldn't have in your home. ~ David Frost. I don't think when David Frost made this comment, he had any idea about reality television. These are shows you don't admit to watching...guilty pleasures if you will. But love them or hate them...you will probably watch one or two of them. And quite honestly sometimes watching garbage t.v. is much better then the alternative that I and many others grew up with...repeats of the Beachcombers. So...here are five shows you might want to check out during your summer holidays.
