We'd like to recognize Carla Briggs of The Pickled Onion Wellness Centre and Terry Price of Royal LePage.
With the help of several volunteers and business sponsors, they raised close to $4,000 for Breast Cancer Research and Treatment at the 2nd Annual Divas in Pink, a Winter Carnival Event on Saturday, February 6 a the Village Green Hotel in Vernon.
Preparations for next year's event are already underway. It will be on February 12, 2011 and you're invited!
Thanks Carla and Terry for all your hard work and thanks for helping to make a difference in our community.

Television is an invention that permits you to be entertained in your living room by people you wouldn't have in your home. ~ David Frost. I don't think when David Frost made this comment, he had any idea about reality television. These are shows you don't admit to watching...guilty pleasures if you will. But love them or hate them...you will probably watch one or two of them. And quite honestly sometimes watching garbage t.v. is much better then the alternative that I and many others grew up with...repeats of the Beachcombers. So...here are five shows you might want to check out during your summer holidays.
