Last night the Vernon Vipers certainly found their scoring touch hammering Trail 10-1 in front of a very relieved home crowd. Mike Zalewski and Jedd Soleway led the attack with 2 goals and 1 assist each. In other action involving Interior Division teams it was Penticton over Westside 5-1, Prince George edged Chilliwack 3-2 in overtime, and it was Salmon Arm 5, Merritt 3. The next action for the Vipers is Sunday afternoon when they host Chilliwack.

The Penticton Vees scored the first 3 goals and coasted to a 6-2 victory last night over the Vernon Vipers at Westbild. Michael Zalewski scored both goals for the Vipers in the loss. In other games involving Interior Division teams it was Alberni Valley edging out Chilliwack 3-2, Cowichan Valley beat Salmon Arm 4-3 in overtime, it was Westside 5-2 over Coquitlam and Merritt shut out Surrey 2-0. Tonight the Vipers travel to Trail. Todd Miller has the play by play action with the pre-game show at 7:15 here on 1075 KISS-FM. The Vipers are back home on Sunday for their 3rd. game in as many days hosting Prince George. Game time is 4.
