The Family Resource Centre is accepting applications for Community Support Volunteers. Training begins Oct 03, 2017 and takes place every Tuesday evening AND the second Thursday evening of each month to Apr 24, 2018. CSVs are trained lay counsellors who assist clients whose needs do not necessarily require a professional counsellor but who would benefit from the support of a skilled volunteer in managing life issues. Comprehensive training emphasizes the development of communication and support skills. SongShine-Kelowna a voice therapy group (The SongShine Singers) meets every Tuesday from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at the Seventh Day Adventist church hall 1130 Springfield Road in Kelowna. This is a free event for anyone wanting to work on rebuilding their voice.
