FONDUE FOR A FUN-DO!
With all the snow we’ve had this week, does it get you in the mood for something warm, soup, hot chocolate or maybe a fun-do with fondue?
Folklore has it that “if bread falls off a woman’s fork and into the pot she must kiss her neighbor. If a man drops anything into the pot he has to buy a round of drinks for the table.”
November is Fondue Month and yesterday we asked Kiss FM Texters and Talkers to share their fondue ideas.

Kiss FM Texter Karen Sochan shared “Hi Mel. I always use chicken broth instead of oil for my fondue. Then I save it and out it in the freezer. I add it to soups later. Its great because it has all those fallen bits of meat or veggies in it. And its all cooked. Chicken pork, veggies cooked in the broth. and use various dips like honey mustard or sweet chili on the side.”
Kiss FM Texter Reg Neufeld shared his favourite fondue items and some humour “Fondue.. chocolate and strawberries…now if I could remember who I lent my fondue pots out to.!
I also found this photo courtesy Pinterest of a Nacho Cheese Fondue. Something you might consider for Monday as Nachos Day is coming up.
These are a couple of recipes from my own cookbooks, yes I still have cookbooks in a cupboard, that do get used from time-to-time!
“Kitty” from That 70’s Show was right about fondue. Listen to what she has to say. Click Below!
