Once again, Taylor Swift has all the attention of the world with an album announcement this week (November 10th), and dropping a new single in advance of this weekend’s MTV video music awards.
The VMAs is where she will debut the video for “Look What You Made Me Do.” A show that will be hosted by Katy Perry, One of many celebrities where there is no love lost with Taylor Swift. The song clearly takes shots at a number of Taylor’s ‘Haters’ that we can only assume include Perry, as well as, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.

Some celebrities Taylor is in tight with though, are Richard Fairbrass, Fred Fairbrass, and Rob Manzoli – Right Said Fred. The group got an offer from a “big contemporary female artist who hasn’t released anything for a while” Who wanted to use a portion of their song for an upcoming single. The group agreed, and signs indicate that they like it, despite not knowing who was releasing the song or what it would sound like. After hearing the song along with the rest of the world, Fred Fairbrass says “I like the cynical aspect of the lyric, because ‘I’m Too Sexy’ is a cynical song, and I think she channelled that quite well.”
I’m not really sure how I feel about the song just yet. It was not what I was expecting by any stretch of the imagination, and I haven’t listened to it enough for it to grow on me just yet. With that said, I Love this mash up. Knowing Taylor Swift covered Right Said Fred, might make me like the song even more… Mostly for camp value.
