Let’s face it, Hollywood…you involve Charlie Sheen in ANYTHING lately, you’re staring at a bit of a public relations hurdle.
But this is a wee bit different. Sheen’s new film, ‘9/11’ is about a group of characters stuck in an elevator, trying to escape one of the towers of the World Trade Center on the morning of the attacks – and, in the past, Sheen has expressed strong doubts about the veracity of the U.S. government narrative of the 9/11 attacks. The fact that ‘9/11’, based on the trailer, appears to be a highly melodramatic narrative, has many crying foul.
In fact, there are many movie fans already calling the trailer embarrassingly unsympathetic…and yes, offensive.
Check it out. What do you think? Offensive – or simply one bad movie? I guess we’ll have final say when the film opens on September 8th. Not that you were planning on seeing it…. ~ Jason
