I’ve never saved anyone from drowning. I have been witness to a few falls, in parking lots and on sidewalks, and I’ve rushed over to help out in whatever way I can. There was also that one time at the park, where a kid got stuck up on the monkey bars and couldn’t get down – he started calling for help and I ran over to assist. But drowning, for whatever reason is different than monkey bars.
This dog came to the rescue for a young deer. Mark Freeley was walking his dog, when Storm noticed something in the water and went to investigate. Storm brought the deer too sure, and the deer tried to bolt, but Storm wasn’t having any of it. He wanted to confirm the deer was indeed OK, and wasn’t about to let her leave without making double sure.
Storm, and Freeley stayed with the deer until animal rescue and a veterinarian arrived. The deer is being treated, and is expected to make a full recovery.
