Video of Okanagan water splashing up on Highway 97 in Peachland has surfaced. This view of it courtesy of the independent paper Peachland View.
These photos are also of the continuing rising water levels on Okanakan Lake off of Westside Road about 11 kms out. The last 3 weeks on Mel’s Diner we’ve been featuring updates from my friend’s cabin area there. This photo of Cliff and Chris Lindskoog’s cabin was taken two days ago before the wind came yesterday.
Rebekka Lindskoog-Wicklund shared this today: “Our trailer is about 100ft back from the normal lakefront. The water is about 2 feet deep there, with about 1 foot to go till it floods our trailer. I worry to think what last nights wind storm might have done.” Note: You can see the trailer in the above photo.
These are photo’s of Rebekka’s neighbours place and several cabin’s near by. All photos on MEL’S DINER today courtesy of Bob Lindley. They are all photos taken just south of his place.
If you have local video or photos to share TALK or TEXT the info to 250-545-7557, email firstname.lastname@example.org, use the new KISS FM APP, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
As my friend Rebekka responded to the following “Yep”
