They say it was less than the retaining wall and more the eroded shoreline beneath it that caused the collapse. A retaining wall along Highway 97 was washed into Okanagan Lake near Antler Beach in Peachland yesterday. High winds caused debris to wash up onto the highway, causing delays and traffic restrictions in the area.

Meanwhile, at the north end of the lake, A Tiger Dam has been installed along Kin Beach in Vernon. There is 5-10mm of rain in the forecast for Saturday which could cause some issues for residents, though lake levels seem to have stabilized over the past few day.
