The school year is ending, and graduation is just around the corner. Time to get ready for the real world, be it getting a job, going to post secondary, or peeling your own oranges…
Hey some people are slow learners!
Meg Sullivan of Tacoma, Washington, recently had her last day of school. And like every other day, her dad packed her lunch, only this time, she got a sweet surprise.
Ever since Kindergarten, Meg’s dad had packed a lunch for her, he even peeled her oranges. But for the last day of school she received two oranges…unpeeled, with a note.
Her dad had included a printout from wikiHow detailing the instructions on peeling an orange, complete with a sad face and the words “It’s time baby girl.”
Meg tweeted out the photo along with the caption “My dad has been peeling oranges for my lunch since kindergarten & on my last day of highschool I got this instead.”
The tweet has garnered over 100k retweets and close to 500k likes, with some of Meg’s friends saying that she is famous now. Her response? *Tom’s famous, Tom being her dad.
So I guess in addition to a sweet yet sad last day send off, Meg’s dad also made her twitter famous, which is pretty huge for a teenager right?
