Last week on Mel’s Diner I posted photos of the rising water levels on Okanagan Lake at my friend’s cabin. The levels were high then. These are photos of what it’s looking like out Westside Road way today.
The above photos are by Rebekka Lindskoog-Wicklund, Chris Lindskoog and Cliff Lindskoog.
In asking Chris Lindskoog about posting the photos, she in her always thoughtful way said “It’s just a cabin”. No doubt she like many others are feeling for those who’s actual homes are being disrupted by the rising water.
These photos were sent in yesterday as well by Richard Gibbons. The rising water at Kin Beach and volunteer Fulton High School students helping with sandbagging.
As 1075 Kiss FM On-Air and On-Line has reported “The lake rose above the 343 metre mark set in 1948 late yesterday afternoon.
The question remains, how much higher will the water level climb.?
