This morning I woke up early, turned on my phone and laptop and the first story I read was a posting from my friend Johanne. It read “In honour of one of the most recognizable voices of the past century”, in reference to the passing of Chris Cornell. Cornell was the lead singer for 90’s band Soundgarden and later Audioslave. He passed away at the age of 52. Many stories say that it was yet another suicide. Investigation continues.
So another amazing voice is gone. In the 90’s many fans including yours truly enjoyed cranking the tunes and listening to the deep vocals of Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell. After reading this story I went to my cd collection at home and brought in Soundgarden’s “Superunknown” cd to play in my “down-time” at work. “Black Hole Sun” and “Spoonman” will be blasting in my music corner today.
