Another Monday, another Monday Mug Challenge!. Thanks to Donna for sending in the front and backside photos of her mug!
If you have a great photo of your favourite mug, or your co-worker’s favourite mug, we hope you’ll share it with us.
“You’re never too old to learn something new”! That’s what my grandmother said to me years ago. I think she was right. Look at this story for instance. This guy didn’t skydive for the first time until the turned 100, waiting 10 years after initially wanting to try it at age 90.
Since it’s the Monday Mug Challenge, a little coffee talk about this 101-year-old war veteran who went skydiving this weekend and made history. Have a look.
His name is Verdun Hayes. He was 101 and 38 days old on Saturday when he broke a previous record of 101 and 3 days old for World’s Oldest Skydiver, when he did a tandem skydive. He’s a British veteran of World War two. The previous record had been held by a Canadian, Armand Gendreau, since June 2013.
