McHappy Day continues until closing tonight. It was a pleasure to meet, greet and chat with so many residents of the North Okanagan who came by to see us on location at the Landing Plaza McDonald’s location.
Highlights included the Beven’s family coming by to support the cause with their dental business They put out the challenge to other businesses to “make a donation or buy a big order of Bic Macs”.
Hello again to David Mitchell, who’s celebrating his 11 birthday day, his sister Esther, who came on the radio, and their Mom Eva, who loved bringing her family to the event.
It warmed the heart to have Abbie McDonald (yes how fitting), the Landing Plaza McDonald’s Restaurant manager on the air, to share her son’s story. He had to have surgery at 5 days old. He and his family know full well the importance of Ronald McDonald House.
Becky took home a $50 McDonald’s G.C. for answering the Kiss Intel challenge, which was to name 5 McDonald’s characters, such as Grimace and Birdy The Early Bird.
A shout out to Beverly who came by and sang “The Big Mac” Song on the Retro Lunch show. She went home with McDonald’s coffee coupons for a year.
This community is amazing. Reg came buy and left money to pay it forward for others to pay for their meals or donate to McHappy Day, which they did.
A reminder that one dollar from the sale of every Big Mac, Happy Meal or any size McCafe
beverage today/tonight will be donated to Ronald McDonald House.
Thanks again as well to McDonald’s owner operator Chris Erickson and first assistant Chelsea Merritt for making it such a fun event for The Kiss FM event crew and yours truly!
Have a great night
