The City of Vernon plans to start its line painting program May 1.
The program will run five to six weeks and contractors will be working through the evening and early morning hours.
The project is split into two parts including crosswalks and stop bars (curbs and symbols) and centerlines and fog lines (long lines).
“While line painting is in process, we ask the traveling public to be patient, slow down and obey all traffic control,” says a City news release.
There have been complaints about the faded lines this spring, and the city is looking into other types of paint that may last longer.
