Today we learned that Netflix viewers spend a million hours a day watching Adam Sandler movies…but why?
No, it’s not because Sandler has churned out some cinematic masterpieces lately (even though Hotel Transylvania was pretty good), it’s because he’s familiar, and easy to watch.
I don’t know about you, but I’m the type of person who will flip through all of the T.V. channels to see what’s on before I turn to Netflix, mostly because I don’t want to make a decision.
I mean we’ve all been there…scrolling through romantic comedies, and then scrolling through critically acclaimed films, and then scrolling through animated movies with a high profile as the voice of the main cat…and still, we don’t know what to choose.
And usually I will say screw it, and end up watching something I’ve seen a hundred times like the third season of Community.
Which is why I love the idea of Netflix Roulette, a website that allows you to metaphorically spin the wheel of movies and have one chosen for you.
If you have an account on the popular streaming site, you can use netflixroulette.net to select your next movie.
You could be totally adventurous and choose the ‘all’ category…or you could narrow down your search a little more with parametres like director, actor/actress, and keyword.
Hopefully, if you’re like me, this will solve your Friday night dilemma of what to watch…but not actually wanting to choose something. 🙂
