April is Daffodil month and recently my daughter and I were reminded of that, when we came across the Canadian Cancer Society’s booth at the recent Shoparama. We chatted with Elva Ritchey from the C.C.S. office who was handing out pamphlets, bookmarks, and “Sunsense fortune tellers”, filled with information on how to protect your skin from sun damage. We also made a donation and received our plastic daffodils.
Elva mentioned that “canvassers will continue to be out this month, knocking on doors for donations to the Canadian Cancer Society”.
As the bookmarker mentions you can “Learn more about all types of cancer, treatment and side effects, coping with side effects, clinical trials, prevention, communicating with your healthcare team and services in your community” by using this number 1-888-939-3333 or www.cancer.ca.
