I sure enjoy watching a Nicolas Cage movie – he has that particular brand of acting that isn’t bad, but it really isn’t very good either. Regardless, I am always compelled to watch.
Really, he is just excellent at playing to his strengths. Always playing the right kind of character – one that typically calls for some over the top intensity.
Go to this website, and you will find yourself in a cage surrounded by Nicolas Cage movies that all play simultaneously. After watching for a few minutes, the ‘Cacophony of Cage’ finds a certain rhythm, and I slip into a trance. Maybe it’s because I was “in a cage” that I felt compelled to watch, but I went through this thought process:
- This is kind of neat
- This is kind of stupid
- I kinda like this
- *Realize I’m still watching* Oh s**t, I’m still watching this
- *Watches for several more minutes* OK, I should probably stop watching and get some work done.
- Maybe just a few more minutes …
If you start watching, you’ll likely not escape the bees . . .
