Search crews from Vernon and Kamloops were involved in the hunt for a missing man in the Falkland area.
The man in his 50’s — who was visiting from Ontario — went for a walk on his son’s property Thursday, and didn’t return.
Searchers scoured the area overnight, including using drones, until the man was found on Highway 97 near Monte Lake around 8 this morning.
He was cold and wet — but otherwise okay.
“Certainly this guy wasn’t prepared for an adventure like that,” says Alan Hobler from Kamloops Search and Rescue. “Even if you think you are going for a little walk, always be prepared and bring extra warm clothing. Be prepared for something that might be a little bit more than what you planned for.”
