Would you agree that we live in the best country in the world? Well now Canada is getting some credit on the world-wide stage for being one of the best countries in the world. According to an annual survey of 80 countries by the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and global brand consultants BAV Consulting, Canada came in second, only surpassed by Switzerland. This is the second year in a row that Canada placed second.

The Swiss topped the survey because of their progressive social systems, protection of human rights and business-friendly environment. Canada and Britain held on to their second and third positions with Germany coming in fourth. The U.S.A slipped to seventh place this year due to lower rankings in categories such as best for business, citizenship, adventure tourism, education, transparency and headquartering a corporation.
Over 21,000 people were surveyed on categories such as economic influence, citizenship and quality of life. Switzerland scored a perfect 10, while Canada received 9.7.
